Is GLAF a festival that occurs only once a year?

No. GLAF is a three-season festival of performing arts. Our schedule begins in the spring and concludes in the fall.


Where are GLAF events held?
Most are held in the auditorium of Garrett College, McHenry, centrally located in scenic Garrett County, in far-western MD. Some GLAF events are held in other county venues as indicated in the GLAF schedule of events.


How can I purchase tickets?
Tickets can be purchased on-line through this website, or through the GLAF office during the performance season. You can purchase tickets by phone at (301) 387-3082 or by stopping at the office. Discover, Visa, Mastercard, and American Express are accepted. Click here for complete information.


Is parking convenient at GLAF events?
The large main parking lot of Garrett College is located on the north side of the college buildings, on Bumble Bee Road. Handicapped parking is available.



What if I am late for the concert?
If you are late for a concert, the ushers will admit you at an appropriate time in the performance, such as when the audience is applauding.


How can I donate to GLAF?
You can charge a donation to your credit card or send a check to GLAF, 687 Mosser Road, McHenry, MD 21541. Donors of $35 or more are listed in our concert programs.


Are discounts available for students or seniors?

Youth 18 years and younger are offered a special ticket price to most GLAF events. Children five years and younger are FREE. Currently there are no discounts for senior citizens, as our ticket prices are kept as low as possible.



How can I have my name added to or removed from the GLAF mailing list?

Please send a note with your name and address to GLAF, 687 Mosser Road, McHenry, MD, 21541, or email your message with your name and address to glaf@artsandentertainment.org. GLAF is now seeking e-mail addresses for distribution of their monthly electronic newsletter.



How do I become a member of GLAF?
To become a GLAF member, one must contribute at least $35 annually to the GLAF organization.



How can I volunteer for GLAF?
Just call the GLAF office at (301) 387-3082. Volunteer committees work with programming, promotions, house, benefit, finance, fundraising, membership, and more. Volunteers are also needed as office assistants, for mass mailings, to arrange hospitality, and for other tasks. Volunteers are a cherished asset of GLAF.

Where is the GLAF office located?
The GLAF office is located on the western end of the campus of Garrett College, in McHenry, MD. Our small, tan building sits near the GIEC Building (Garrett Information Enterprise Center). We are just minutes from Deep Creek Lake and all of its attractions.



How can I submit my materials in consideration for an artistic booking?
If you feel your work may be appropriate for the artistic efforts we at GLAF pursue, we would be pleased to receive any promotional materials that you can provide us. You may also place our name on your mailing list and, when possible, we shall endeavor to attend a performance.
